Travels with Vieng

After a 12 hour bus journey from Vang Vieng,
I met up with a wonderful friend of a friend
in Svannakhet, Lao. Before our travels down south,
her family performed a sort of "good luck, safe journies" ceremony. I had no idea what I was getting into when Vieng asked if I wanted to have
dinner with her family, but let me tell ya, it was quite the plesent surprise.


I'm hiding in the center here -}getting strings tied to my wrists (for good luck). A bit of a where's waldo picture.
